OUR VISIT TO NEW YORK: We camped out at the William H. Pouch Scout Camp, Staten Island, NY on Friday, 12/7 - Sunday 12/9. The campground was the staging area for our trip to New York City where the boys took the Staten Island Ferry and a couple of Subway rides to visit the 911 Memorial, The Intrepid Air Sea and Space Museum and Rockefeller Center. Troop 803 at St. Mary's
Our goal is to prepare boys for manhood based upon the principles and skills taught by the Boy Scouts of America. Scouts have an urge to have fun, go camping and learn together, and participate in weekly meetings from September to June to learn Scouting skills and participate in fun activities. Once a month we have camp-outs or special activities to practice Scouting skills and do outdoor fun-based activities. Community service projects are performed as part of the Scout program. Open to boys ages eleven to eighteen. The photo slide show above is from our recent trip to Resica Falls Scout Reservation.
Pack 803 at St. Mary's
We introduce young boys to Scouting and enjoy family oriented fun activities. Cub Scouts enjoy crafts, games and outdoor activities, and meet monthly from September to June for activities (Hayrides, Pinewood Derby, Rain Gutter Regatta, Camporee, etc.). There are one to two den meetings per month to work on activities. Family participation is expected and encouraged. Open to boys six to ten years of age.
