Lynne Keating is a wife, mother, grandmom, foster mom, adopted mom who originally entered the corporate world, owning a business for more than 20 years. Feeling a call later in life, she approached Bishop Salterelli about the possibility of religious life. After 4 years of spiritual direction, Keating became a postulant in a contemplative religious community formed under the cannon code for hermits, ultimately making final profession as a religious sister. However, one year later, the community was closed down; vows of the sisters and religious brothers were dispensed. After a failed attempt to reform and restructure the community, she returned to life in the world.
Keating enjoys working for local parishes as a musician for Masses, Weddings, Baptisms and First Communions. She also teaches confirmation and religious education classes, and occasionally speaks at retreats for local parishes. She is a member of the Association of Jeanne Jugan and resides happily with The Little Sisters of the Poor.
